The Internet Business has increased in the last few years and lots of the computer businesses which we see these days were set up by entrepreneurs who spotted the trend and grasped the opportunity to find Online Jobs in the market.
I hold in esteem these people their capacity to spot an opportunity, as I do not have this ability. However, that is how we have entrepreneurs, there are not many who do have the capacity. Those who did have the foresight to set up an Internet Business in the beginning of this boom are now reaping their rewards. They knew that as PCs became more affordable, they would end up in most homes. Perhaps they even saw that this would give an opening for people to Work From Home?
As more businesses would want to get their companies profiles raised on the www, there would be chances for web development, so this has become a very lucrative market.
Other companies, who were already established, perhaps felt they no longer required such large business premises, and determined that to permit staff to Work From Home for the majority of the week, maybe with the introduction of a hot desk policy, would allow for this change.
As the www has become more reliable, many more companies have staff in different continents, working to diverse timelines, and this again may have led to more Online Jobs, for those looking to Work From Home, becoming available so as to make flexible working hours more attractive. If employees are required to attend telephone conferences or video conferences early morning, or outside of any normal working hours, they may be more acceptable to this if they are given the opportunity to Work From Home.
If companies are not currently involved in a scheme which allows for staff to undertake Online Jobs at their home, it could be that if this is the way employees would like to work, they can think of a business plan which shows the benefits of allowing employees to Work From Home, demonstrates they have looked at possible risks and have ways of mitigating these. It could be that there are security risks or worries. Perhaps having a security key which is needed in order to access work sites could alleviate this?
It could be that by making a case for caring for the environment is the trigger which would bring forth this change. No longer travelling to work each day could lower carbon emissions. Smaller business sites would mean electricity requirements would shrink. There are many ways in which this move could help the environment, and these are just the tip of the iceberg.
Smaller business sites will also mean lower running costs for the company and perhaps this would be the deciding factor, in these weeks of recession, when every penny counts with most companies. Increasing the Internet Business side of the company may indeed bring profitable benefits as well as staff benefits, culminating in winners all around.
Each company will have a different motive for wanting to enhance or increase the Internet Business side of their company and if staff are firm in their wish to have the opportunity to take IT Jobs to their house, then they must solve the problem of how to best achieve this goal.
